You know, I'm not the world's most creative person - not by a long stretch of the imagination. Even though my mum still says "oh, your so creative' - I don't consider my self a creative at all. I can't draw (with the exception of hangman), I can sing, but only do so in the shower, I haven't yet had a go at my life long dream to produce music and can't make anything inventive or exciting to save my life.
I do though thrive via my love of thinking creatively. My friends would say I have a nack of 'seeing through walls' and of catching thoughts drifting through the ether... I consider the most thrilling part of my work life, that I'm an advocate for social enterprise and am constantly able to talk (people's ears off!) about innovative ways of looking at things.
At the moment, I'm trying to find an innovative way to make my work less bogged down in paper pushing so that I can get on with the more exciting end of things. I was extremely disheartened to realize the other day whilst watching yo gabba gabba that I still don't know what MY talent is and that I'm possibly not 'living my passion' , seeing as, I don't yet know what my actual passion is...
Clearly, Elizabeth knows what her talent is and has embraced it - along with the fear/s.
Her talk has reminded me to live my live with zesto and to embrace the process as well as the outcome.
